ACA believes that spiritual growth is essential to human growth. We aspire to be a community actively growing in awareness of God’s unconditional love for all people, and aim to faithfully share that same love with others. We believe that the life and teachings of Jesus Christ inspire us to be an inclusive and welcoming community.
ACA incorporates the Christian faith into lessons, classroom activities, physical education, arts and other learning opportunities throughout the school day as we strive to encourage and build a strong faith.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23)
We stand firm on a foundation of Christian values that foster an inclusive and caring environment. Our leaders and teachers are dedicated to delivering learning opportunities that help each student develop critical thinking skills along with beneficial social and spiritual experiences.
The Fruit of the Holy Spirit refers to the nine attributes of a person or community living in accord with the Holy Spirit. ACA’s faith development is rooted in the Fruit of the Spirit whereby we display His fruit as we grow closer to becoming more Christ-like.
Opportunities to learn and display the Fruit of the Spirit are part of every day at ACA. In particular, during our Weekly Chapel service, we have focused learning and reflection on one individual “fruit” each month. And, throughout the year, we recognize and reward those students who exemplify these attributes.
Weekly Chapel Services
Each Friday, ACA students attend Chapel on our campus. These services enable the ACA community to gather together in reflection and in praise of God. Families are invited and encouraged to attend Chapel services with their child(ren). During Chapel, we sing, pray and give thanks, as well as provide focused, in-depth learning on the Fruit of the Spirit and how to incorporate them into our daily lives.
On occasion, ACA also hosts guest speakers during Chapel. Please check the Calendar for details.
